Hi everybody, and thank you for tuning in to episode 26 of the Learn With Lels podcast.

On this episode, I spoke with a super cool guy named Brahm Leupen, whom I met in Tofino, British Columbia while I was there surfing. Brahm is unlike anyone I’ve ever met—he’s travelled to over 40 countries, he’s an avid hitchhiker, he goes for whole-day runs, and he lives in his van.

There are a lot of interesting things that I could’ve talked about with Brahm, but for this episode we focused on the world of van life. In our conversation, we covered:

  • what drew Brahm to this nomadic lifestyle;

  • what his van is like and how he put it together;

  • advice for people who are considering van life, or any other cool adventure; and

  • a bit about his scary bike trip in Africa—think big cat encounters and heat stroke.

If you’ve ever considered living in a van, or if you just want to hear some stories from a super adventurous guy, then this episode is for you. It was actually recorded in Brahm’s van/home, which was honestly super cozy and nice, and, to my mother’s dismay, I'm kind of considering following Brahm’s footsteps.

I will let you know if I end up buying a van, but in the meantime, I hope you enjoy this episode with Brahm Leupen.
