Hi everyone, and thank you for listening to episode 27 of the Learn With Lels podcast.

On this episode, I spoke with Halyna Polityka, a registered psychotherapist and an old friend of mine from high school—we were actually on student council together back in the day.

In our conversation, Halyna and I talked about:

  • how anxiety can show up in our bodies and different ways to deal with it;

  • how overdoing gratitude can lead to self-sabotage, and how that’s a common theme she’s seeing in her clients during this pandemic; and

  • why it’s so important to take care of ourselves, to tune in to ourselves, and to live authentically based on our own personal values.

At the end of our conversation, Halyna also shared some affordable and accessible resources for those who are looking to start therapy.

Halyna has always been such a sweet, kind angel, and I think anyone who’s dealing with anxiety or who spends a lot of time worrying about what other people think about them will benefit from listening to this episode. (Basically, I’m saying this episode is for me, haha.)
